Here you can find some of the questions I get asked most frequently so I compiled them so you can get an answer way faster. I’ve also separated them in categories regarding their theme.
I would define my style as candid, on the move, personal photos mixed with an editorial eye. I like like to think of my photos as snapshots of your personal movie that lives somewhere between the past and the present.
I am based in Guadalajara, Mexico but one of my favorite things in the world is to travel so I would love to travel to any corner of the world to shoot you.
Once we've decided we are the right match for each other, all that would be left to do is a signed contract and 50% retainer. The other 50% is due 2 months prior to your wedding.
Absolutely, I actually encourage it. Be it we meet in person o via FaceTime I would love to meet you beforehand so I can answer all your questions and make sure we are the perfect match.
I first picked up a camera when I was 14 and shot my first wedding at 19. I am now 26 years old so that would be 12 years since i picked up a camera and 7 years to my first wedding. Crazy how time flies.
I do not. But, I know a handful of very talented videographers I'd be happy to recommend.
I only shoot 8 weddings a year. I do this because I have very limited availability since I really value spending time with my loved ones and I am constantly developing new passion projects. 8 is the number I landed on where I can still give you my full creativity, attention and service you deserve.
For sure, for starters it is important to have wherever we are shooting in mind so you can dress accordingly and comfortably. Also think about how what you wear will play into the colors and tones of the location so we can make sure you stand out. Don’t worry I love to get involved with helping you plan out your outfits so you’ll look your best.
Yes of course! Feel free to lean into my knowledge as much or as little as you’d like. Whatever you need so we can make sure you’ll have the best experience and photos possible.
If we have already have a retainer in place and a signed contract, the retainer is non refundable and in case of rescheduling you’d need to put in a new retainer and sign a new contract to reserve a new date.
Trust me when I say this is the last thing I’d like to happen and I will make anything and everything in my power to make sure it doesn’t. In case it does happen I can either refund you 100% or I can get you a new photographer who I believe to be in the same lane as me.
Don’t overthink it! First I’d recommend to try and come in to the shoot relaxed and with an open mind. I like my shoots to feel like a hang out, relaxed and safe. I’ll walk you through different directions and moments to get you enjoying the moment. And then when you’re comfortable we might explore some editorial and artsy photos that might come our way.
Unexpected weather is still part of your story and I highly recommend you embrace it as it can also make for some pretty epic photos. I know how to make all types of light work so I’ve got us covered. In case it is unsafe for us or my gear can get damaged we can look into alternatives like rescheduling.
Yes, yes and yes. Being able to immerse myself into new and different cultures to tell new stories is so very exciting to me.
I usually start before your wedding with a questionnaire asking you important questions like your timeline, venue, and all sorts of details so I can start brainstorming how we will tell your story. When the big day arrives I like I take a photojournalism approach to things while looking for interesting compositions, colors and textures that pop out to me that'll make for unique and personal snapshots.
Of course! If there are two things I could give you advice on is time and light. So, regarding time make sure to leave yourselves time to breathe and take it all in, you probably don’t want to be rushing all day. Light wise, lighting is probably the most important component to photography so I would factor in the best lighting for your portraits or your ceremony. Taking these two points into account and make such a big difference, trust me.
I want my work to reflect you as you truly are, so no, I won’t be modifying your physical appearance. I can however touch up any temporary blemishes. Feel free to let me know of any insecurities you may have and I’ll keep them in mind while posing and editing.
I do not deliver unedited photos or raw files. I honestly believe that editing is a very important part of the work. Editing is a fundamental part of my process and an extremely important ingredient to give it that final special touch.
I do not limit the amount of photos I deliver as each shoot is different. Don't worry, you will have more than enough photos. I try to include all the most important moments of your day no matter how big or small they are. If you feel that you missed a photo, don't hesitate to contact me.
For weddings, I usually take around 8 to 10 weeks to deliver all of the photos. I like to go over every photo a couple of times to make sure everything is right. For other types of shoots you’d be looking at 3 to 5 weeks.
For digital deliveries I use an online gallery where you can see all of the photos organized and you can share them easily. For physical deliveries I send out a beautifully crafted package with photos printed on a high quality semi gloss, slightly textured paper that feels like a dream in hand.
Photos in the online gallery are available for a year, I try to keep them there for longer but I can’t guarantee it. I recommend that you download all the photos and store them somewhere safe.
